# Huddle audio or connection is not working

Check microphone permission, selected devices, speaker output and session access.

**What you're seeing.** Nobody can hear you, you cannot hear other participants, or the dock says it is reconnecting.

**What it means.** The browser may have blocked the microphone, the selected device may be unavailable, output may have no sound, or the call connection may have dropped. A host can also restrict speaking.

**What to do.** Open Audio settings. Check microphone access and the selected input. Speak while watching the input meter, then use Test speaker where available. Check the dock's mute state and any host restriction. For a join failure, read its reason before retrying.

**If you do nothing.** A blocked microphone stays blocked until permission changes; waiting 1 minute does not grant it. Reconnection has no guaranteed completion time. After 1 minute without recovery, check your network and the dock's current result before leaving and trying to join again.

## Microphone permission or input

A browser permission denial requires a change in the browser's site settings.
The application's mute control cannot override that denial. Return to
**Audio settings** after allowing access. Choose a connected microphone if the
previous device is missing.

If a host muted you for everyone, follow the restriction shown in the session.
Changing a local device does not remove a host restriction.

## Speaker output

Use **Test speaker** when it appears. Check system volume and the selected
output device. Some browsers do not offer a speaker picker; use the system's
output controls in that case.

## Connection or access

A reconnecting dock indicates a connection attempt, not an ended session. If
the session expired or ended, reconnecting cannot restore that same session.
A full session or an access denial requires a different action from a network
failure. Keep the reported reason code when asking a workspace administrator
for help.

## Screen sharing

Cancelling the browser chooser does not start a share. Choose **Share your
screen** again and select the intended window or tab. If the browser or operating system denies capture permission, repair it in the browser or operating system before trying again.
